Foundation Overview

The Dream Keepers Foundation, Inc. (DKF) was chartered on August 28, 2023, as a non-profit, tax-exempt, publicly supported organization. The DKFI supports scholarships for students attending accredited four-year institutions; scholarships for students attending trade schools or licensed certificate programs; community service projects; and youth mentoring programs.

Our mission is a charitable contribution and service to under-served populations in Kent County, Delaware with particular emphasis on minority communities.


KEY PRIORITIES

  • Provide scholarship opportunities for high school seniors committed to accredited institutions of higher learning and students currently matriculating at four-year institutions.
  • provide for the under-served populations in Kent County, Delaware
  • Support the Dover Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc.’s Dream 13 Guide Right/Kappa League youth mentoring program.
  • Partner with women’s shelters to complete clothing and supply drives.
  • Solicit businesses to provide clothing and school supplies.
  • Sponsor community events like youth football camps, youth basketball tournaments,  to engage communities through sports and recreation.
  • Increase financial literacy of youth and individuals in underserved communities.


VISION

Our vision is to become the premier Foundation supporting a Greek Letter Organization in its resources and services to the Kent County communities.


The Dream Keepers Foundation will expand programs and educational support for youth.


The Foundation will engage under-served communities to provide for the changing needs of a global society

The Foundation aims to do a collective good through our service to underserved communities throughout Kent County, Delaware. Our target population is predominantly, but not exclusively, youth. Our initiatives extend to elderly and disabled people and women with accompanying children fleeing domestic violence.

Join Us!

Come join us for the Dream Keepers Foundation's Scholarship Ball, a black-tie affair to raise scholarship funds for high school Seniors who have enrolled at an accredited institution of higher learning; college students matriculating at four-year institutions; and students attending trade schools or licensed certificate programs.

The Dream Keepers Foundation, in partnership with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., proudly hosts its Annual Backpack Giveaway, bringing together families, community leaders, local businesses, and volunteers for a day dedicated to preparing students for a successful school year.


The event is much more than a backpack distribution—it is a community celebration focused on supporting children, strengthening families, and connecting residents with valuable resources. Families are welcomed into a fun, positive environment where students receive backpacks filled with school supplies, enjoy free food and refreshments, and participate in activities that create lasting memories before the start of the school year.
